- Knowledge of stitches required: single crochet, increase, decrease, slip stitch, chain, half double crochet, chain-3-picot, single row spike stitch.
- If Matty the stork and Kuro the baby are made with Krea Deluxe 4-ply organic cotton yarn and a 2.5 mm hook, they will measure 23 cm / 9 inches and 7 cm / 2.75 inches tall respectively.

Materials Required
- Yarn (one ball of each colour will suffice, except for Colour 30 Brown for Kuro the baby’s hair for which only a small amount is required)
Krea Deluxe organic cotton 4-ply yarn in: For Matty the stork - Colours 02, 05, 10, 21, 44, 50; For the bag - Colours 08, 13, 17; For Kuro the baby - Colours 02, 20, 30, 32, 46

- Crochet hook in accordance with yarn you use (2.5 mm)
- Fibrefill / toy stuffing
- 6 mm black plastic safety eyes
- Black (#310) embroidery thread (DMC Six Strand Cotton Thread) - use a single strand per eyebrow for Matty the stork’s eyebrows
- Black (#310) thread (DMC Cotton Perle No. 12) - use a single strand for each of Kuro the baby’s eyes
- Stitch markers, darning, embroidery needles
- 45 mm pom pom maker (e.g. Clover pom pom maker)
