- In English only using American crochet terminology

- Knowledge of stitches required: single crochet, increase, decrease, slip stitch, chain

- If Louis is made with Patons Cotton Blend 8-ply yarn and a 2.5 mm hook, he will measure 14 cm / 5.5 inches tall from the top of his head to his feet. If his Teddy Bear is made with Drops Safran 4-ply Cotton yarn and a 2.2 mm hook, he will measure 6.5 cm / 2.5 inches tall from the top of his head to his feet.

- Crochet hook in accordance with yarn you use (2.5 mm for Louis, 2.2 mm for Teddy)

- Fibrefill / toy stuffing

- 4.5 mm (Louis) and 2.5 mm (Teddy) black plastic safety eyes

- Black (#310) embroidery thread (DMC Six Strand Cotton Thread)

- Stitch markers, darning, embroidery needles
